Who We Are

Charlotte: "I have always been surrounded by music. I am a vocalist first and foremost, my singing has taken me around the world and to big UK venues like the Royal Albert Hall and even Buckingham Palace! I enjoy a busy music teaching career and absolutely love singing and playing flute, piano and ukulele with Shake, Rattle & Roll."

Clare: "I learnt the piano as a child and went on to learn clarinet, sax, accordion and ukulele. I have played in various bands and ensembles over the years and always enjoy the connections that happen in music. In addition to Shake, Rattle and Roll I also work as a music therapist, ukulele teacher and run a local community choir."

Helena: "I've been playing the cello since I was a child, I taught myself guitar in my teens, and I have loved being in bands and performing ever since. I have a background in teaching and I love the communication that happens through music. As well as Shake, Rattle and Roll I teach cello and ukulele."

Miranda: "I have played the violin since I was very young and have always loved the satisfaction of creating music with other people, whether in small ensembles or massive orchestras. Shake, Rattle & Roll is my weekly chance to get the musical cogs of my brain turning, my ossicles vibrating and the muscle memory of my fingers working so that I can share the joy that music brings with small people and their grown-ups."

Sharon: "I started learning trumpet at school and joined Fife Youth Jazz Orchestra. I've been hooked on music and performance ever since! I've played with several big bands in festivals and functions all over the country and in Europe. I recently picked up percussion and I've especially enjoyed playing folk tunes and rediscovering my Scottish roots!
